About Johnson Matthey
Johnson Matthey identifies sustainability as an integral part of its growth strategy and a key driver for its competitiveness. In 2013/14 87% of Johnson Matthey’s sales came from products providing sustainability benefits.
The company was one of the first FTSE 100 companies to produce an integrated annual report and won the Best Annual Report in the FTSE 100 in the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards in 2012, which recognised how sustainability issues were ‘described in a way that clearly links them to business strategy and performance, rather than leaving them in a silo or on the sidelines.
Johnson Matthey Challenge
Johnson Matthey had engaged a Systems Integrator to assist with a large ERP implementation. However, the internal business team were not familiar with the technology and lacked the experience of running a large transformation programme.
Resulting provided a team of expert SAP consultants to work in 'top of org chart' roles alongside the business team. The Resulting team focused on underpinning business knowledge of SAP and helping get the most out of the Systems Integrator relationship.
- Drive quality ERP design decisions by supporting the business with solution knowledge
- Provide an integrated team of consultants working in a common way within the programme as an alternative to contractors
- Support the JM Leadership team with strong governance and critical friend support as part of the programme structure
